stuff, man! critique the crap out of this one. i feel like i'm getting better at drawing the body but something is still missing that makes all other anime pieces so great... T__T
I wish I could see this every time I listened to music. haha! The body looks really well done and the shading works pretty well. The line of her thighs seem to be a little high I think, since it goes past the hip line, although you could be having the underwear falling off? haha oh boy! Her neck also seems a bit too thick for her very small and curvy body. I think you did a really good job on the hair, making it looks like individual strands and not a big clump of hair, it looks well done.
oh dang now i actually see what people are talking about with the underwear LMAO i actually did not see that for the longest time... it accidently still looks good though hahahaha (least to me, but im a little biased since its my drawing XD) thanks man i'm already putting some serious work into my anatomy and what not- i hope to improve a ton in my next piece!
You're welcome! Anatomy is definitely tough as hell, doing my life drawing class wasn't fun but quite hard! You definitely know what you're doing it's just practice practice practice! Speaking of which, I'm quite out of haha I need to get back into it.
yay! you should get back into the practice! if you want some inspiration, you should totally visit this site i just joined which has the must ah-maze-ing artwork ... like srsly... [link]
I would say to also work on the chin area, as on your's a looks very rough. Since you're using Paint Tool SAI, try using the lineart layer along with the curve tool on that layer, as it will help give you a much much smoother lineart then just trying to do it freehand.
The style used for the hair shading is neat, but there is no definite lightsource coming from it that i can tell.
But I would first say to try and smooth out your lines, as that is also what is making it miss a lot of the polish I've seen in most anime pics.
